On Saturday June 8 th , 2019 at approximately 11:00 PM, Officers attempted to serve a warrant on Zachary Emerick located at 11705 E 425 S in Stroh Indiana. While Officers were approaching the house Zachary fled on foot out the back door. Officers ordered Zachary to stop in which he refused to comply with Officers verbal commands and a foot pursuit ensued.
Officers were able to detain Zachary behind a residence in a wooded area. Officers located a Hypodermic Needle, and suspected Methamphetamines in Zachary possession. While Officers were placing Zachary in their patrol vehicles a male subject walked up behind Officers and asked what was going on. The male subject was identified as Roger Emerick who was Zachary’s father. While Officers were speaking with Roger he was found to be in possession of Marijuana, suspected Methamphetamines, and Paraphernalia.
Zachary was booked into the LaGrange County Jail on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Hypodermic Needle, and a Felony Warrant out of Steuben County Indiana.
Roger was also booked into the LaGrange County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.
