Florence Township crews battled a vehicle fire on the Ohio Turnpike on Tuesday, only to come back later and put it out again.
Officials have reported the first blaze started near mile marker 6 in the westbound lane. Brakes on a freight trailer hauled by a semi caught fire, and after it was extinguished, the rig stayed on the side of the road. Hours later, a passerby reported new flames as it was later learned the truck was hauling a load of cooking oil.
The fire department put out the blaze once again.
An investigation is underway by local fire and police.
