Storms on Tuesday Night, and early Wednesday Morning across the tri-state will yield to hot and humid conditions once again across the region today, with the sweltering heat set to be in full force by the weekend.
A slight chance of storms is expected for the duration of the day today, however the risk is much less significant as it has been for the past few days. The hot weather for this weekend will be the hottest temperatures seen all summer, with heat indexes expected to reach well past the 100 degree mark. The National Weather Service has already issued an "Excessive Heat Watch" for the tri-state area lasting from Thursday Night through Saturday Evening.
