A pair of bills authored by Rep. Denny Zent providing more support to military Veterans and their families were recently ceremonially signed into law by Governor Eric Holcomb.
One new law reduces medical obstacles for military families who have children with disabilities. Zent said the new law prioritizes access to the Family Supports Waiver and shortens the wait time for military children with disabilities. These waivers help individuals receive medical care at home or in a community setting based on their needs.
Zent worked on the legislation with the Indiana Veterans Affairs Commission.
